Overview of Type 2 and Type 3 Hair

Types 2 and 3 are the most temperamental hair type of ALL hair types and share similar properties. I am all too familiar with the personality of these hair types raising 3 daughters with mixed hair.  As I am certain you know (anyone with this hair type), somedays your curls and/or your waves are perfect and look great and other days they are frizzy and lack any semblance of a pattern let alone a "style" and you are forced to where a cap or to put your hair in a bun. And at times you have no idea what you did not did not do for your hair to act right or to act up. 

This can be very challenging and frustrating, often leading to a serch to find a product (or products) that controls frizz and lock-ins curls.  In the end the product changes the look, feel, and texture of your hair making it stiff, hard, and dry. This hair type can also be Oily, Normal. or Dry in equal measure. Often if the scalp/hair is oily it is so at the scalp and can be very dry at the tip. You can also have perfect waves and curls at the scalp only for them to lose shape the father away and longer they get. When this scalp/hair type is dry, it can be especially dry at the tips often adding to the frizz and lack of wave-curl shape and structure.
